Technical notes

200 psi is the pump's rated pressure with a clean inlet and a primed hose. Flow and pressure fall as the draw height increases and as the battery discharges.

How to use

  1. Dock a battery. Slide a BAYU battery module onto the base until the contacts seat. This is an attachment module — it needs a BAYU battery (sold separately) or the 5 m 12 V vehicle power cable to run.
  2. Find your water. Drop the inlet hose into a bucket, jerry can, creek or tap. It lifts water from up to 6–8 m away, so the source doesn't have to be next to the car.
  3. Choose a spray. Twist the nozzle to 0° for a jet, 15° for a chisel, 40° for a wide fan, or fit the foam bottle for a pre-wash.
  4. Prime and go. Squeeze the trigger and let it draw through. Flow settles at about 200–240 L/h at 200 psi.
  5. Keep the battery dry. The water path is built to be wet. The battery module and the contacts are not — keep them out of the spray.
  6. Flush it before you pack it. Run clean water through for a few seconds after using foam or dirty water, then drain the hose.

Safety and care

  • The battery is not waterproof. The water path is. Keep the module contacts, the battery and the vehicle cable out of the spray, and never submerge the unit.
  • Never spray at people, animals or electrical fittings. At 200 psi this will take skin off.
  • Don't run it dry. Losing prime damages the pump.
  • Let it cool. A compact motor under sustained load gets hot. Work in bursts.
  • Fingers and hair clear of the intake and anything moving while it runs.
  • Power down before changing heads. Switch off and pull the battery first.
  • Cleaning. Wipe the housing with a dry or barely damp cloth. No solvents.
  • Warranty. Two years, replacement. If it fails inside that window it's replaced, not repaired.
